Armando G. Nerone, 96, passed away on December 9, 2017. He was born January 4, 1921 in Akron to Thomas and Vittoria Nerone. Armando served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II, and was a member of VFW Post 3383, 40 & 8, and past commander of American Legion Post 209. He retired from Pennsylvania Railroad/Conrail, did income taxes for A.A.R.P., and served as an Auxiliary Highway Patrolman.
Armando was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 55 years, Anna; sister, Mary; and brothers, John and Guiseppie. He leaves his children, Cora Hudson, Charlotte (Paul) Kawczk, Victoria (Terry) Tait, and Rosetta (Joe) Maul; grandchildren, Amy Barker, Tracy Zelovic, Joe Maul, Scott Maul, Anna Marie Markola, and Cindy Dietrich; great-grandchildren, Tait Barker, Cooper Maul, Maddox Maul, Cameron Battagelia, Corie Battagelia, Piper Dietrich, K.C. Dietrich; and special friend, Bessie Michael.
Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home 3326 Manchester Rd. on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with service beginning at 12 p.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
