Charles R. PickleDecember 24, 1931 ~ May 11, 2017 (age 85)
Charles R. Pickle, 85, passed away on May 11, 2017. He was born December 24, 1931 in North Versailles, PA to the late Charles and Sally Pickle. Charles proudly served his country as a Marine during the Korean Conflict and was part of the Frozen Chosen. He retired from Ancor Exhibits as a cabinet maker, and will especially be remembered for being the best father and grandfather any family could ever have.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; daughter, Linda Wolcott; brother, Jan Pickle; sister, Bonnie Hyre; and son-in-law, Bill Rohler.
He is survived by his son, Jeff (Carla) Wolcott; daughter, Jill Rohler; brother, Bill Pickle; sister, June Camper; grandchildren, Nate Rohler, Matthew (Kristin) Wolcott, Sarah (Stephen) Long, Chelsey (Marc) Simmons, Nick Wolcott, and Jordyn Wolcott; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd. on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m., where a Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 19th at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Don Davies officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. All are welcome to meet at the cemetery.
