Clyde W. Roth, 88, passed away on March 11, 2018. He was born January 15, 1930 in Akron to the late Herman and Louise Roth. He was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity and Omicron Delta Kappa and was past President of Student Council at the University of Akron. Clyde served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict as a First Lieutenant. He worked as a Guidance Counselor for Cuyahoga Falls High School and St. Vincent-St. Mary’s High School. He loved watching his Cleveland Indians, reading the Akron Beacon Journal and collecting historical memorabilia. Clyde liked to record family events through videography and photography, and he especially enjoyed visiting Tim’s jobsites.
Clyde was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Marion; and his cat, Willie. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa S. Roth; sons, Andrew W. (Debbie) Roth and Timothy P. Roth; sister, Norma Ash; sister-in-law, Jane Roth; granddaughter, Jillian Grace Roth (Luis Reyna); and Albert Purola.
Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 6 p.m. with Pastor Ben George officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
