Forrest "Bud" SidleDecember 3, 1932 ~ September 23, 2017 (age 84)
Forrest “Bud” L. Sidle, 84, entered into the presence of His Lord and Savior on September 23, 2017. He was born December 3, 1932 in Van Wert County to the late Oscar and Evalyn (nee LaRue) Sidle. Bud moved to the DeGraff, Ohio area in 1937 and graduated from DeGraff High School in 1950. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1954-1956 and was honorably discharged. Bud graduated from Tennessee Temple in 1960 and joined Baptist Mid-Missions as a missionary pastor. He and his wife served as missionaries in British Columbia, Indiana, and Ohio. He retired in 2000 and moved to Norton in 2004.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Melody Anne Sidle. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy (nee Morris) Sidle; sons, Kris (Lori) A. Sidle, John E. Sidle; daughters, Pamela (Andrew) LaBreche; Joy (James) Spurrier; two granddaughters and six grandsons; sisters, Phyllis (Harold) Taylor, Jacqueline (James) McBrien; 1 niece; 3 nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Rd., Norton on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Norton Baptist Church, 4329 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd., Norton on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior, Pastor Dwight Strickland officiating. A private interment service will take place at Claibourne Cemetery.
