Louise Eva MorisakFebruary 4, 1920 ~ April 28, 2017 (age 97)
Louise Eva Morisak, age 97, passed away peacefully in her home on April 28, 2017. She was born in Chippewa Township, Wayne County, Ohio on February 4, 1920, the daughter of Jacob and Elta Smith. She lived her early years in Doylestown, Ohio. During World War II she worked for Firestone in Akron aiding the war effort as a “Rosie the Riveter”. After the war she married John Morisak, the love of her life. They were married for 61 years and had three sons. They lived the majority of their lives in Norton, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and brother, Elmer (Marlys) Smith. She leaves behind a loving family; sons, John (Alice), Dennis (Pamela), and William DDS (Lesa); brother-in-law, Dan (Gloria) Morisak; grandchildren, John (Tiffany), Wendy, Matt, Dax, Kelli, Kristi, Will, Karli, David; great-grandchildren, Zuri and John; nieces and nephews; and her beloved lapdog, Cutie.
Louise was a devoted wife and mother who loved to bake her family’s favorite chocolate chip cookies and a large assortment of Christmas treats. She also enjoyed needlework and cross-stitch. Her family and her home were her life. We love and miss you Mom. May you rest in peace with Dad.
Private services will be held, with interment following at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Doylestown, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 70 W. Streetsboro St., Hudson, Ohio 44236, in memory of Louise.
