Mary E. McKownAugust 6, 1935 ~ September 19, 2017 (age 82)
Mary E. McKown, 82, passed away at home on September 19, 2017 after a short battle with mesothelioma. She was born August 6, 1935 in Sherman to the late Clyde and Wilma Croft. She retired from Wright Tool after 40 years as a press operator and worked for Nichols Cleaners for 10 years after that. Mary was a member of First Baptist Church of Kenmore where she accepted the Lord as her Savior and was baptized. Mary was a very compassionate woman who would do anything for anyone.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Oval; her sisters, Leona (Eugene) First, Mae Parker, and Clarabelle Soles; and brothers; John (Dorothy) Croft and Robert Croft.
She is survived by her daughter, Regina (Doug) Baltic of Norton; sons, Ron (Linda) Fox of Catoosa, OK, Charles (Debbie) Fox of Newton Falls, and Kevin (Renae) Fox of Navarre; grandchildren, Chris Fox, Kelly (Jeff) Meeks, Stephanie Senderak, Katie Fox, Tyler Hershberger, Karlee (Chad) McCallister, Dyllan Fox; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Zander, Emily, Lillian, Izabella, Klaira, and Naomi. Mary also leaves behind a special friend, Donna Baltic and two special nieces, Joann Glatt and Sheila McGlynn.
The family would like to thank Mary’s friend and caregiver, Pat Uhl and the nurses of Summa at Home Hospice.
Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Rd. on September 23, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, where services will be held 12 NOON with Pastor Joe Grimaldi officiating. Interment at Loyal Oak Cemetery in Norton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Kenmore, 2330 East Ave. Akron, OH 44314, in memory of Mary.
