Matthew HatleyDecember 1, 1974 ~ November 24, 2017 (age 42)
Matthew unexpectedly entered Heaven’s gates on November 24, 2017. As we are told in Isaiah 40:31, he now soars on wings like eagles and runs but does not grow weary.
Matthew is survived by his grandma, Venora Hatley of New Franklin who was his rock and guiding light; mother, Darlene (Jeff) Moore of Wooster; dad and step-mom, Chuck and Rose Hatley of Apple Creek; sister and her husband, Traci and Danny Sheipline of Burbank; and special niece, Megan Sheipline, also of Burbank.
Matthew was a 1993 graduate of Norwayne schools. He had lived in Columbus, Ohio and San Diego, California prior to returning to the New Franklin area in May of 2016.
He enjoyed caring for his grandma, his cat Roxie, social media, and his friends from across the country. His smile was infectious, as was his gentle soul.
The family would like to thank the many friends of Matthew who reached out with hands of love from across the country. May each of you find peace and love.
While we will sorely miss spending time with him, we rejoice in knowing that we will someday be together again. Thank you, Matthew, for all the love, laughter, prayers, and precious memories.
In lieu of flowers, remember that tomorrow is not guaranteed. Give someone a hug and tell them you love them in Matthew’s memory.
Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home 3326 Manchester Rd. on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m., with services immediately following. Pastor Mark Hunt officiating.
