Rosemary Elizabeth BishopJanuary 27, 1926 ~ March 28, 2017 (age 91)
Rosemary Elizabeth Bishop, 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 28, 2017. She was born January 27, 1926 in Akron, OH to the late Mike and Margaret Ulmer. She retired from Coventry Schools after working many years as a cafeteria worker. Rosemary enjoyed being involved as a member of AARP, playing cards at the Senior Center, and volunteering for many things including the VFW and the Parks and Recreation Department. She was a longtime member of Allenside Presbyterian Church where she faithfully served. Rosemary will be remembered as a person who was always there when someone had a need, and would be there to reach out with a helping hand.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; daughter, Rebecca “Becki” Quesenberry; stillborn son, Thomas; and granddaughter, Carrie.
Rosemary is survived by her sons, David (Barb) Bishop of Lawrence, KS, and Russ (Jane) Bishop of Owassa, OK; son-in-law, Foy Quesenberry; grandchildren, Derek (Ashley) Bishop, Dustin Bishop, Ian (Jen) Bishop, and Jacob Bishop; great-grandchildren, Zoey, Allix, Caleb, Quinten, Evelyn, and Javier; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call at Allenside Presbyterian Church, 410 Rexford St., Akron, OH 44314 on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at Noon. Rev. Frances Fischer officiating. Inurnment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Allenside Presbyterian Church, in memory of Rosemary.
