Jacquelyn “Jackie” Hofer, 90, walked through the gates of Heaven to meet her husband and Heavenly Father on February 2, 2018. She was born August 17, 1927 in Shiloh, Arkansas to the late O.C. and Lila Richmond. She worked as a Medical Assistant for many years, last working for Dr. Alexander Ormond III. Jackie loved the Lord and was a member of Firestone Park Baptist Church. She was truly a Prayer Warrior. Jackie volunteered for the Haven of Rest and also ushered at the Civic Theater and E.J. Thomas Hall. She loved people and animals.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Edward; and brothers, Harland and Eugene. She is survived by her son, Scott Edward (Jodi) Hofer; daughter, Ann Hofer; grandchildren, Sean (Leslie) Carano, Anthony Carano, Carli (Jeff) Peters, Benjamin (Nicole) Hofer, and Megan Hofer; great-granny to 4 great-grandchildren; loving sister-in-law and friend, Margaret Richmond; and was loved by all her nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd. Akron, OH 44319 on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m., where services will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Dr. Tim Crow officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park
