Joyce Ann (Dibert) Wade Willis, 77, of New Franklin, Ohio passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Akron General Hospital. Joyce was born July 10, 1940 in Akron, Ohio, daughter of Owen L. Dibert Jr. and Juanita Woods Dibert. She married Milton Allan Wade on September 19, 1960.
Joyce was a Girl Scout leader and together Allan and Joyce raised two children and supported them through Scouts, sports and band.
Allan preceded her in death on March 6, 1995. She is survived by Glen Willis whom she married in 1998. Joyce is survived by her two brothers, Owen Dibert (wife Emily) and David Dibert (wife Gloria). Her surviving children are Lisa Lawrence (husband Larry) and David Wade (wife Dodi); grandsons, Matthew Lawrence, Joshua Wade (wife Samantha), Nathan Wade, Corey Wade, and Erik Wade; granddaughters, Kathryn Lawrence and Sara Wade; Ryland Wade (son of Joshua and Samantha) is her only great-grandchild.
Joyce retired from J.C. Penney in 1998 and began a life of travel with Glen, cruising, motoring and flying, crisscrossing North America, visiting Panama and Israel. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading and the Cleveland Indians. Joyce was a member of Manchester United Methodist Church.
Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd. on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 10 to 12 p.m., with services immediately following. Pastor Dale Gharky officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to honor Joyce may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Manchester United Methodist Church.
