Junior "Tubb" MaceNovember 19, 1932 ~ August 8, 2017 (age 84)
Junior F. “Tubb” Mace was born November 19, 1932 in Spencer, West Virginia, a place they say is “almost heaven.” On August 8, 2017, at the age of 84, he made it all the way to Heaven as he passed from this life to the next. He always loved to see the mountains back where he grew up and where he made some of his greatest memories. To Tubb there was only one kind of music, country, and he was probably George Jones’ greatest fan. He enjoyed playing the guitar at his church, The Lord’s House of Prayer; fishing, boating, and telling stories of his childhood adventures.
Tubb was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Wilma (Greathouse) Mace; second wife, Rita (Dennison) Mace; infant daughter, Deborah Mace; son, John Mace; and grandson, Jonathan Pritt.
He is survived by his daughters, Victoria Pritt (George), Sandra (Les) Bickett, and Robin (Mike) Repasky; stepdaughters, Sue (Sterling) Beasley, Sandra Jo Dennison, and Alice (Earl) Lloyd; grandchildren, Amanda (Matt) Hamilton, Christina (Thomas) Pappas; Daniel (Megan) Bickett, Kimberly (Michael) Bloom; and several great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Summa Hospice and Pebble Creek Rehab Center for their kind and compassionate care.
“Dad, go rest high on that mountain. I love you. Bye”
