GREEN – Louise Stack, 89, passed away on August 18, 2018. She was born April 28, 1929 in Akron and lived in the area her entire life, and graduated from Kenmore High School. She worked at A & P and Giant Eagle, retiring in 1987 with 28 years of service. She was a member of Eagles 555 and the Sons of Herman. Louise was an avid golfer and golfed in two leagues at Turkeyfoot and elsewhere. She enjoyed bowling and loved to dance, especially polkas and polka jam sessions. Her greatest blessings and happiest times were spent with her beloved children: her son, daughter, son-in-law, and precious granddaughter who were the joy of her life.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Thomas J. Stack; parents, John and Lottie Skapsik; brothers, John and Henry Skapsik; and sisters, Ann Dubravetz and Stella Trissel. She is survived by her loving son, Thomas H. Stack of Green; loving daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Darrell Ross of Valdosta, GA; loving granddaughter, Gretchen Ross of Richmond, VA; loving brother-in-law, Jim Trissel; many loving nieces and nephews; loving friends; and special friend, Alma Norman. Louise’s smile and sense of humor will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home 3326 Manchester Rd. on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m., where services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
