James R. “Jim” Stalnaker, 78, unexpectedly passed away Monday, September 21, 2020.
Jim was born in Dingy, West Virginia to French and Elvia Stalnaker in 1942. He honorably served his country during the Vietnam War in the U. S. Army and went on to work for Parker-Hannifin as a metal finisher with 30 years of service. Jim and his wife, Kathy, were former members of Wintergreen Ledges Church of God. He was a member of the Marshallville American Legion and enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and spending time in his boat.
Jim was preceded in death by his sisters, Edith Adams and Mary Helen Idell.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathy; sisters, Veda Ruth (Paul “Bus”) Lemon and Loretta Kemp; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends; and their dog, Katie.
Calling hours will take place at Bacher Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Rd., Norton, on Monday, September 28, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Private services will take place. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park will take place following the calling hours.
